May 5, 2026 (V7N) — The Bangladesh Coast Guard arrested two men involved in an attempted robbery targeting tourists at the Sundari Eco Resort, near the Dhangmari Canal in Khulna’s Dakop upazila.

According to Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujan, the incident occurred around 4 am Monday when miscreants broke the window grill of the resort to attack and loot tourists. Resort authorities chased the intruders, who fled, and later informed the Coast Guard.

Following intelligence surveillance and CCTV footage analysis, a special operation was conducted at 5 pm Monday. Two suspects — Rajan Sardar (25) and Ratan Sardar (14), residents of Dakop — were arrested. Initial interrogation revealed they had long been involved in theft and robbery.

The arrested individuals were handed over to Dakop Police Station for legal action. The Coast Guard emphasized that such operations will continue to maintain law and order in coastal and forest areas.
