Pabna , May 5, (V7N) — A total of 162 women in need received sewing machines in Pabna, distributed under the donation of the National Social Welfare Council and organized by the District Social Service Office.

The distribution ceremony took place Tuesday afternoon at the auditorium of the Pabna Social Services Office. Pabna‑5 constituency MP Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas attended as chief guest and handed over the sewing machines to the beneficiaries.

Deputy Director of the Social Services Department Md. Abdul Quader, LGED Executive Engineer Monirul Islam, and other officials were present at the event.

The initiative aims to empower women by providing them with tools to earn a livelihood, reflecting the government’s broader commitment to social welfare programs and women’s empowerment.
