Dhaka, Apr 29 (V7N) — Gold prices in Bangladesh’s domestic market have declined again within 24 hours, with the price of 22-carat gold reduced by Tk 2,216 per bhori, according to the Bangladesh Jewellers Association.
In a notification issued on Wednesday morning, BAJUS announced that the new price of 22-carat gold has been set at Tk 2,42,495 per bhori (11.664 grams), effective from 10:00 AM.
The association said the adjustment was made following a decrease in the price of pure gold in the local market, taking into account the overall market situation.
This marks the second consecutive price reduction in just one day. Earlier, on April 28, BAJUS had lowered the price of 22-carat gold by the same margin—Tk 2,216—bringing it down to Tk 2,44,711 per bhori at the time.
The continued decline reflects ongoing fluctuations in the gold market, influenced by both international trends and domestic demand-supply conditions.
