Additionally, temperatures of 38.2°C were recorded at noon on both Friday and Saturday, indicating a sustained surge in heat levels. Hossain reports that the district has been enduring a persistent heatwave since April, exacerbated by high humidity levels. He warns that similar temperatures may persist in the coming days, with forecasts suggesting the potential for an even more severe heatwave later in the month. Residents are facing extreme conditions, with Ramadan fasting adding strain to the working community. Many are staying indoors to avoid the unbearable heat, and local businesses are also affected, with decreased demand reported. The Chuadanga Weather Observatory highlights that the district has consistently reported the country's highest temperatures for the past 13 days, emphasizing the severity of the heatwave.
