NETRAKONA, July 28 (V7N) – Aasiya Akter, the mother of Voice7 News Netrokona Correspondent and information technology professional Asaduzzaman Talukdar, passed away (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji'un) on Monday while undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. She was 54.
A resident of the Nagra neighbourhood in Netrokona district town, Aasiya Akter died at around 12:30 p.m. due to age-related health complications. She was the wife of the late Ali Osman Talukdar, a retired telephone operator of the former Bangladesh Telephone and Telegraph Board (BTTB) and a journalist.
She is survived by one son, two daughters, and numerous relatives, friends, and well-wishers.
Her funeral prayer (Janazah) was held after Maghrib prayers on Monday at Uttar Para Jame Mosque in the Nagra neighbourhood. She was later laid to rest at the family's ancestral graveyard.
