Dhaka, July 29 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast rain accompanied by thunder in Dhaka and its surrounding areas by noon on Wednesday.

According to a six-hour forecast issued at 7:00 a.m., the capital and nearby areas are likely to experience cloudy skies with rain or thundershowers.

The Met Office said south to southeasterly winds may blow at speeds of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour during the period. It also forecast that daytime temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.

At 6:00 a.m., the temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 27.7 degrees Celsius, while relative humidity stood at 86 percent.

The Meteorological Department also reported that 9 millimeters of rainfall were recorded in Dhaka and its surrounding areas over the past 24 hours.
