Pabna, Oct 5 (V7N) – Pabna-3 constituency nomination aspirant and Central Adviser of the Jatiyatabadi Sanskritik Dal, Alhaj Hasanul Islam Raja, has accused a rival candidate and his associates of creating chaos and misleading people regarding the BNP nomination process.
Speaking at a rally organized by Ward No. 9 BNP in Handial Baghlabari Chourasta of Chatmohar upazila on Saturday evening, Raja said, “A certain candidate and his allies are running a circus over the Pabna-3 seat. Sometimes they claim to have received the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ symbol, sometimes a preliminary nomination, and at other times, the media reports they have been given the green signal. They are deceiving the people and playing with the existence of the land and its citizens. Everyone must stay alert and aware.”
Raja added that several candidates are seeking BNP’s nomination for Pabna-3, but rumors are being spread that a candidate from Sujanagar has already been granted the nomination. “They are trying to deceive the people of Chatmohar by spreading false claims of a preliminary nomination. But I have always called upon the people — rise up, people of Pabna-3! We do not want an outsider candidate; we want a local representative,” he emphasized.
Criticizing BNP’s Central Krishak Dal President Tuhin for what he described as a “staged nomination drama,” Raja alleged that some of Tuhin’s associates are involved in drug trafficking and extortion. He urged locals to unite against such corruption, saying, “Raise your voices from every home — we want a local candidate for Pabna-3. If I am elected, it will be your victory too. My only promise is to eliminate corruption, extortion, and irregularities across Chatmohar, Bhangura, and Faridpur, and bring peace to the lives of all residents.”
The rally was presided over by former Handial Union BNP President Ismail Hossain and conducted by former Chatmohar Municipality BNP Joint General Secretary Jahurul Islam Master.
Among those present were former BNP leaders Lutfur Rahman, Afsar Ali, Rafiqul Islam, Abdul Quddus Molla, Mobarak Hossain, Yunus Ali Inu, and Chhatra Dal leader Hasinur Rahman, along with many others.
