New Jersey, Jul 19 (V7N)- Ticket prices for the 2026 FIFA World Cup final have surged to unprecedented levels ahead of the highly anticipated clash between Argentina and Spain, with some seats reportedly selling for as much as $60,000 on the secondary market.

The soaring prices come after weeks of discussion surrounding ticket costs during the tournament, with demand reaching its peak ahead of Sunday's final at MetLife Stadium.

On Saturday (July 18), the lowest-priced tickets available through FIFA's official ticketing platform were listed at $6,411.25 for seats behind the goalposts. However, those tickets sold out within hours as football fans rushed to secure a place at the season's biggest match.

As availability dwindled, prices continued to rise. The cheapest remaining seats in the upper-corner sections of the stadium were reportedly being offered for around $10,000, equivalent to more than 1.2 million Bangladeshi taka.

Premium seats closer to the pitch were selling for approximately $16,000, while exclusive hospitality packages had climbed to nearly $60,000—roughly 7.4 million taka—making them among the most expensive tickets in World Cup history.

A similar trend has been observed on major resale platforms, where upper-tier seats were listed from around $10,000, while some lower-bowl seats were reportedly being offered for nearly $35,000.

The extraordinary demand reflects the significance of the final, which will see defending champions Argentina national football team take on Spain national football team in a battle for football's biggest prize.

For Argentina, the match presents an opportunity to secure a second consecutive World Cup title. Spain, meanwhile, are aiming to reclaim football's ultimate crown and complete a remarkable resurgence 16 years after their historic triumph in South Africa.

With anticipation building around the globe, fans will soon find out whether Argentina can extend their reign or Spain can write a new chapter in their football history.
