Philadelphia, Jun 20 (V7N) – Brazil produced a dominant first-half display to take a commanding 3-0 lead against Haiti in their FIFA World Cup group-stage match in Philadelphia on Saturday.

Matheus Cunha, who returned to the starting lineup, opened the scoring in the 23rd minute. The Brazilian forward capitalized on a loose ball after Haiti defender Hannes Delcroix inadvertently redirected it into his path following a blocked effort from Vinícius Júnior.

Cunha doubled Brazil's advantage in the 36th minute, collecting a precise pass from Vinícius before firing a powerful left-footed strike past the Haitian goalkeeper.

Brazil added a third goal deep into first-half stoppage time through Vinícius Júnior. The Real Madrid star raced onto a lofted pass from Lucas Paquetá, found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper, and calmly slotted the ball into the net to score his second goal of the tournament.

The three first-half goals gave the five-time world champions complete control of the match as they moved closer to securing another important victory in their quest for a sixth FIFA World Cup title.
