Madaripur, Nov 21 (V7N) – Helen Zerin Khan, former MP and nominee for Madaripur-2, who also serves as the BNP’s Central Joint Secretary for Women and Co-Secretary for Education Affairs, emphasized the implementation of Tarique Rahman’s 31-point state reform agenda. She vowed that, if the BNP returns to power, the party would work to make the country free of terrorism and drugs, restore citizens’ voting rights, and strengthen democracy.

Zerin Khan made these remarks on Thursday afternoon at a rally organized at the Eidgah grounds in Madaripur town. Following her speech, a procession moved through the city’s main streets and concluded at Chormuguria.

Speaking to the media, she urged the BNP leadership to nominate a candidate for Madaripur-2 whose character is beyond reproach and who is genuinely committed to public welfare. She said, “Our goal is to elect a leader who will ensure the people of Madaripur live in peace and benefit from comprehensive development. The candidate must be capable of implementing each of the 31 points outlined in the state reform agenda.”

Zerin Khan reaffirmed that Madaripur-2 is a BNP stronghold and expressed the party’s commitment to maintaining it as a peaceful constituency. She urged voters to reject the politics of money and to support a candidate aligned with the principles of former President Ziaur Rahman. “We aim to reshape Madaripur-2 with our skills, dedication, and hard work, ensuring every citizen can live safely,” she said.

She also paid tribute to Begum Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman, highlighting their lifelong dedication to safeguarding the country, and stressed the importance of sacrifice-based politics. “We are not here for indulgence but to serve the people. Our struggle for citizens’ rights will continue. We want Madaripur-2 to become a terrorism-free constituency,” she added.

The rally reflected the BNP’s promise of law and order, development, and democratic governance in the upcoming elections, with a focus on principled leadership and grassroots engagement.
