Dhaka, Jun 22 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast gusty winds of up to 60 kilometers per hour in 19 districts across the country by Monday morning, as an active low-pressure system continues to influence weather conditions nationwide.
According to a special weather warning issued for inland river ports on Sunday night, temporary gusty or squally winds with speeds ranging from 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may sweep across several regions, accompanied by rain or thunderstorms.
The affected areas include Dhaka, Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Faridpur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet.

The Meteorological Department, in a separate bulletin, warned of the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of the country through Monday evening due to the influence of the low-pressure system.
The forecast predicts light to moderate rain or thunderstorms accompanied by temporary gusty winds and lightning in many areas of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions. Similar weather conditions may also occur in some parts of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions.
