Dhaka, Aug 15 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast gusty or stormy winds of up to 60 kilometres per hour in several parts of the country, along with rain or thundershowers.

The forecast was issued for the country's inland river ports for the period from 5am to 1pm on Saturday (August 15).

According to the forecast, temporary gusty or squally winds of 45-60 km/h may blow from the south or southeast over the Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chittagong and Cox's Bazar regions.

Rain or thundershowers are also likely in these areas during the period.

In view of the possibility of strong winds and thunderstorms, the Meteorological Department has advised the river ports in the affected areas to hoist warning signal No. 1.
