Parts of the country are currently experiencing a mild to moderate heat wave, with the possibility of its spread in the coming days, according to a bulletin from the Met office.

The Rajshahi division and the districts of Bagerhat, Kushtia, and Chuadanga are currently under the influence of this heat wave, with the potential for it to extend to other areas. Increased moisture incursion may contribute to persistent discomfort in affected regions.

Additionally, isolated rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind are forecasted for Chittagong and Sylhet divisions, with the possibility of hail in some areas.

The weather is expected to remain mainly dry, with temporary partly cloudy skies in other parts of the country. Daytime temperatures may rise by 1-2°C, while nighttime temperatures are likely to remain relatively stable across the country.

The weather pattern is influenced by a trough of westerly low over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining areas, with seasonal lows present over the South Bay.
