Zagreb, Jun 05 (V7N)- At least four people were killed when a small passenger aircraft crashed near the town of Medulin on Croatia's Istrian Peninsula, authorities said.
The accident occurred on Thursday when the aircraft, reportedly owned by a German operator, was traveling from Austria to Croatia.
According to eyewitness accounts, the plane suddenly lost control while flying over the Medulin area and began spinning uncontrollably before plunging to the ground at high speed.
Emergency responders and rescue teams rushed to the scene following the crash. Authorities confirmed that six people, including the pilot, were on board the aircraft at the time of the accident.
So far, the bodies of four victims have been recovered from the wreckage. However, officials have not yet provided definitive information regarding the condition or whereabouts of the remaining two occupants.
