New Delhi, June 14 (V7N) — In retaliation for Israel’s recent strikes on its military and nuclear facilities, Iran launched a massive missile attack on Tel Aviv last night, resulting in the death of at least one person and injuries to more than 40 others. The escalation has further heightened fears of a full-scale war in the Middle East.
Amid the growing conflict, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with several world leaders, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an effort to build diplomatic support.
Netanyahu’s office confirmed that in addition to India, he also held discussions with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron, with plans to speak with former US President Donald Trump soon.
Following the conversation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on social media, stating, “Prime Minister Netanyahu called to brief me on the latest situation. I expressed my deep concern over the escalating tensions and urged for the swift restoration of peace in West Asia.”
Earlier, India’s Ministry of External Affairs also expressed grave concern over the Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, urging both countries to exercise restraint and avoid provocative actions that could further destabilize the region.
The situation remains tense as international leaders continue diplomatic efforts to prevent a broader conflict.
