Dhaka, June 15 (V7N) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has postponed his son’s wedding due to the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel. The wedding of Avon Netanyahu, originally scheduled for tomorrow (June 16), has been delayed as the region faces heightened tensions and retaliatory attacks.
Avon’s wedding was set to be held at Kibbutz Yaqum, located about 30 kilometers north of Tel Aviv. Extensive security arrangements had already been put in place for the ceremony, with plans to enforce a no-fly zone within a 1.5-kilometer radius of the venue.
However, following Iran’s overnight missile barrage on Israeli targets, including critical infrastructure in Tel Aviv and Haifa, and in light of Israel’s ongoing retaliatory operations inside Iranian territory, the Israeli Prime Minister made the decision to cancel the family event.
The postponement underscores the gravity of the current regional conflict, with personal and national priorities intersecting for Israel’s leadership.
No new date for the wedding has been announced as of yet.
