Dhaka, July 25 (V7N) – Tasneem Afroza Ayman (10), a young student who sustained critical burns in the plane crash at Milestone School and College in the capital, has died while undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

She passed away at around 9:30 AM on Friday, confirmed Dr. Shaon Bin Rahman, a resident surgeon at the institute.

“Ayman had suffered 45 percent burns, including damage to her airway. She was in critical condition and died in the ICU,” said Dr. Rahman.

With Ayman’s death, the official death toll has now reached 32, according to a statement from the Health Ministry.

Earlier, Nafi (8), a second-grade student, died on Tuesday night, Mahtab Rahman Bhuiyan (14) died on Thursday afternoon, and Mahiya (15) passed away on Thursday (July 24).

The tragedy, caused by the crash of a Bangladesh Air Force fighter jet into Milestone School and College, continues to claim young lives and devastate families.
