Dhaka, Nov 08 (V7N)- Supreme Court lawyer Khandaker Hasan Shahriar has sent a legal notice to actress Parimani, seeking an unconditional written apology over alleged harassment of journalists and insult to the national anthem.
The notice was sent by post on Sunday (November 8) to Shamsunnahar Smriti, popularly known as Parimani, as well as the president and general secretary of the Bangladesh Film Artists Association.
It asks the actress to issue an unconditional written apology within seven days for the alleged incident at the court premises.
The notice also urges her to refrain from using obscene language or dialogue, making threats, and performing obscene acts or gestures in the future. It further refers to nude or semi-nude dance performances and other content presented through films, videos, audiovisual materials, photographs or graphics that, according to the notice, have no artistic or educational value.
The lawyer has also asked the Film Artists Association's president and general secretary to issue a show-cause notice to Parimani and take necessary disciplinary action within seven days.
The notice warns that failure to comply with its demands could lead to further legal action.
The allegations and demands outlined in the legal notice have not, by themselves, established any wrongdoing by the actress.
