Mumbai, Oct 26 (V7N)- Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan greeted fans outside his residence in Mumbai on Sunday, October 25, amid heightened security following a reported bomb threat.

The actor met admirers gathered outside his home, ‘Jalsa’, in the Juhu area of Mumbai, continuing his customary Sunday appearance. His son, Abhishek Bachchan, accompanied him during the interaction as fans watched from behind police barricades.

Police maintained tight security around the residence following a threatening email reportedly received two days earlier. According to the information provided, the email was sent to a school in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex area and mentioned Amitabh Bachchan.

Police have launched an investigation into the threat. However, it was not immediately clear whether the message specifically referred to ‘Jalsa’ or the actor’s other residence, ‘Prateeksha’.

Meanwhile, Amitabh recently updated fans about his health through his Tumblr blog. In a post published on Friday, he wrote, “Need more rest,” indicating that he required additional time to recover fully.

The actor regularly communicates with fans through his blog and social media accounts. He had previously said that doctors advised him to take a break from his usual online activities.

Amitabh Bachchan continues to host the popular television quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati. He also appeared in the 2024 Tamil film Vettaiyan, starring Rajinikanth.

The veteran actor’s Sunday meetings remain a longstanding tradition, drawing fans to ‘Jalsa’ for a glimpse of one of Hindi cinema’s most prominent stars.
