Dhaka, April 27 (V7N) — Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon today called for deeper cooperation with Turkey and Malaysia to boost the quality of Bangladesh’s education system, highlighting opportunities for expanding university partnerships and knowledge-sharing.
He made the call during separate meetings with Turkish Ambassador Ramis Sen and Malaysian High Commissioner Mohd Shuhada Othman at his Secretariat office.
Milon said coordinated initiatives and experience from countries like Turkey and Malaysia can play a vital role in improving Bangladesh’s education sector. He informed the envoys that the government is working tirelessly to ensure quality education and is ready to collaborate with international partners to accelerate progress.
In discussions with Ambassador Sen, both sides emphasized strengthening long-standing ties, particularly in higher education and trade. Sen noted that relations are already “very strong” and Ankara is keen to expand cooperation between universities and promote business links. Milon expressed hope that closer academic collaboration would enhance standards in higher education and further solidify bilateral relations.
During talks with High Commissioner Othman, Milon praised Malaysia’s global reputation in education, describing its achievements as encouraging and a model Bangladesh can learn from. “There is significant scope to apply Malaysia’s experience in Bangladesh,” he said. Othman reaffirmed Kuala Lumpur’s commitment to deepening ties with Dhaka, particularly in education.
Senior officials from Bangladesh’s education ministry and the two diplomatic missions were present at the meetings.
