Dhaka, Nov 30 (V7N) – The International Crimes Tribunal-2 has rejected the application for reconsideration of the order to frame charges against Hasanul Haque Inu in a case involving crimes against humanity related to the killing of six people in Kushtia. The first testimony in the case is scheduled for Monday.

Hasanul Haque Inu’s lawyers had argued that he had no involvement in the killings. However, the Chief Prosecutor maintained that the tribunal is examining crimes against humanity and accused Inu of committing treason by labeling the July Revolution as “so-called.” Following the tribunal’s decision, the reconsideration of the framing of charges was denied, and the prosecution presented its opening statement.

Meanwhile, the prosecution’s contempt of court case against BNP leader Fazlur Rahman, arising from comments made during a television talk show on the verdict in Sheikh Hasina’s case, is scheduled to be heard today.

In addition, the prosecution may request time to submit the investigation report against former Additional Superintendents of Police Alep Uddin and Mashiur Rahman in a case related to enforced disappearances during the Awami League government.

Former Shahbagh Police Station OC Arshad Hossain is also set to give his statement as a defense witness in the case of the six killings in Chankharpul.
