DHAKA, Mar 11, (V7N) – Banglalink, the country’s leading digital operator, celebrated International Women’s Day 2026 with a series of week‑long initiatives from March 5 to March 9, focusing on allyship, inclusion, and community impact under the theme “From Rights to Reality.”
The programs included community volunteer engagement, awareness activities with marginalized groups, interactive learning sessions, employee discussions, and recognition initiatives, aimed at translating women’s rights into tangible progress.
The celebrations began on March 5 with a volunteer program in partnership with Aparajeyo Bangladesh, where Banglalink employees engaged with underprivileged children and mothers. Around 75 beneficiaries and 25 volunteers participated in creative art sessions on hope and empowerment, alongside health awareness activities on hygiene and menstrual health. Employee volunteers also staged a short drama highlighting challenges faced by women due to stigma and unequal opportunities.
On March 9, Banglalink hosted an internal program at Tigers’ Den, its headquarters, featuring a panel discussion with Dr. Nabila Idris and Barrister Nazia Kabir, who shared perspectives on rights, justice, and workplace inclusion.
Speaking on the occasion, Ruhul Quader, Acting Chief Human Resources Officer, said: “At Banglalink, we believe creating an inclusive workplace goes beyond policies, it requires everyday actions, empathy, and support for one another.”
A special segment recognized the winner of Banglalink’s He4She initiative, where a father of an employee shared his story of supporting his daughter’s ambitions, underscoring the role of family in promoting equality.
The program also marked the continuation of the Banglalink Women’s Network, acknowledging outgoing committee members and welcoming the new committee for 2026, reaffirming the company’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
