BARCELONA/DHAKA, March 5, (V7N) — Banglalink’s payment service subsidiary, Neo PSP, has officially entered into a strategic partnership with global technology giant Huawei to develop a next-generation digital payment platform branded as "Mukto Pay." The agreement was signed on March 4 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, marking a significant step in Bangladesh's transition toward a cashless economy.

The agreement was formalized by Banglalink CEO Johan Buse and Huawei South Asia COO Tim Zhou (Xiaofeng). The partnership aims to leverage Huawei’s advanced fintech infrastructure to provide secure, high-volume, and real-time digital transactions for both banked and unbanked populations in Bangladesh.
Key Features of Mukto Pay

Bank-Grade Security: The platform will utilize Huawei’s mobile financial services technology to ensure high reliability and scalability with top-tier security standards.

Instant Transactions: Users will be able to perform real-time cashless payments and fund transfers.

Financial Inclusion: True to its name—Mukto meaning "liberation"—the service aims to liberate financial access for underserved communities across the country.

Digital Transformation: This move highlights Banglalink’s evolution from a traditional telecommunications provider into a comprehensive digital operator.
