Dhaka, Apr 30 (V7N) — Prime Minister Tareq Rahman demonstrated parliamentary discipline during a session of the National Parliament on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident took place after the midday break while Law Minister Asaduzzaman was delivering his speech on the President’s address. The prime minister entered the chamber during the speech but did not go directly to his assigned seat. Instead, he sat two rows behind to avoid crossing in front of the speaking minister.

According to parliamentary rules, no member is allowed to pass in front of another member while they are speaking. The prime minister followed this established rule. After the law minister finished his speech, he then moved to his designated seat.

Later, Deputy Speaker Kaisar Kamal referred to the incident and called on lawmakers to learn from it. Addressing the House, he stressed the importance of maintaining discipline and highlighted the prime minister’s conduct as an example of respect and proper parliamentary behavior.
