Dhaka, Sep 16 (V7N) – Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has revised the timing of its upcoming protest programs to avoid disruption of the 47th BCS written examinations.

In a notification issued by the party’s central publicity department on Tuesday (September 16), Jamaat announced that protests scheduled for the mornings of September 18 and 19 will now be held in the afternoon on both days.

The party had earlier declared a three-day program on September 18, 19, and 26 with a five-point demand centering on ensuring a free, fair, and acceptable national election in February. However, after learning that the BCS written tests will take place on the mornings of September 18 and 19, Jamaat decided to adjust its schedule.

The statement said the decision reflects the party’s “responsible position in the interest of ensuring a fair and peaceful environment for the BCS examination.” Party branches across the country have been instructed not to hold any morning programs on those two days.

It added that holding protests in the afternoon will ensure that the examination process remains undisrupted.

According to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC), the 47th BCS written exam is scheduled for September 19, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, with 374,747 candidates expected to take part.
