Cox’s Bazar, Oct 03 (V7N) – Despite continuous rain and cloudy skies caused by a deep depression over the Bay, Cox’s Bazar remains packed with tourists. On Friday, holidaymakers thronged popular beach points such as Laboni, Sugandha, and Kalatali, enjoying the waves and spending time with family and friends.
Hotels and motels in the seaside town are reporting high occupancy, while local businesses are also benefiting from the tourist rush. To ensure safety, tourist police and lifeguards have strengthened monitoring and taken extra precautionary measures along the shoreline.
Meanwhile, with the lifting of the travel ban in the hill districts, adventure seekers have turned to the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Groups of tourists are heading to Keokradong, the country’s second-highest peak in Ruma, Bandarban, as well as popular spots in Rangamati and Khagrachari.
Travel operators noted that even the persistent drizzle has not deterred visitors. Many tourists said the rainy atmosphere has added to the charm of their trips.
