Dhaka, Oct 23 (V7N) — Students in the capital staged a protest at Farmgate, blocking the road around 12 noon on Thursday (October 23), causing traffic jams in the surrounding areas.

The protest comes after a student named Sifat was killed in a truck accident at the Farmgate area on Tuesday. The students demanded justice for Sifat’s death and an apology from the authorities, accusing them of labeling students as terrorists.

In addition, the students presented five demands, including safer roads and the clearing of sidewalks. They took positions on the road to draw attention to their concerns about road safety and pedestrian rights.
