Dhaka, Sep 28 (V7N) – Joint law enforcement teams are conducting a raid on an apartment belonging to the Medina Group, owned by former MP Haji Selim, in Azimpur, Dhaka. The forces surrounded the building from 12 noon on Sunday.

During the operation, authorities recovered six luxury cars from a secret room in the underground parking of the Gulshanara Masuda Tower, the apartment building owned by Haji Selim. The building’s manager has been detained for questioning regarding the vehicles.

Among the recovered cars, one reportedly bears the logo of the former MP. The manager was unable to provide clear information about the ownership or registration of the vehicles.

Local residents allege that leaders and activists of the Awami League and its banned affiliated organizations occasionally use the building for secret meetings. Sources also noted that few people reside in the building permanently.

The joint forces continue their search and investigation.
