Dubai, Sep 06 (V7N)- Crude oil exports from the Middle East have fallen by 39 percent compared with the beginning of 2026, according to data from oil shipping data provider TankerTrackers.
The company disclosed the figures in a post on X on Saturday (September 5).
According to TankerTrackers, Middle Eastern crude oil exports in August were 39 percent below the January-February 2026 baseline of 18.5 million barrels per day.
The current shortfall stands at around 7.2 million barrels per day. However, the deficit was significantly higher in May, when exports were 67 percent below the baseline, representing a shortfall of 12.4 million barrels per day.
The latest figures cover crude oil exports from major regional producers, including Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
The sharp decline comes amid heightened tensions and disruptions affecting oil transportation in the strategically important Middle East region.
