Dhaka, Oct 10 (V7N)- A bomb exploded outside the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon, Dhaka, early Friday, with no casualties reported, police said.
The incident occurred at around 1:15 am when two unidentified individuals riding a motorcycle allegedly detonated an explosive device in front of the office before fleeing the scene.
Police later recovered another unexploded bomb from the area. A bomb disposal unit defused the device at around 2:30 am.
Authorities are working to identify and arrest the two suspects involved in the incident.
Security has been tightened outside the Prime Minister’s Office following the explosion, with additional police deployment and traffic control measures introduced in the surrounding area.
Police have not disclosed further details about the suspects or the possible motive behind the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
