Dhaka, Oct 09 (V7N)- Gias Uddin Rimon has been appointed as a Special Assistant to the Prime Minister with the rank of secretary, with responsibility for the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
The Ministry of Public Administration announced the appointment in a notification issued on Thursday.
According to the notification, Rimon has been appointed on a contractual basis as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, with responsibility for the two ministries.
His appointment will take effect from the date he joins office.
The notification states that the appointment is conditional on his relinquishing any involvement in other professions, businesses or employment relationships with government, semi-government or private institutions and organisations.
Rimon will work with the two ministries under the prime minister's direction, with the rank of secretary.
The appointment is part of the government's administrative arrangements for overseeing the two key sectors.
