Nov 03, V7N- Captain Liam Livingstone’s maiden ODI century powered England to a five-wicket win over the West Indies, leveling the three-match series. Chasing a challenging target of 329, Livingstone scored an unbeaten 124 from 77 balls, blasting four fours and nine sixes, steering England to victory with 15 balls to spare. His dynamic 140-run partnership with Sam Curran, who contributed a steady 52 off 52 balls, proved decisive after England found themselves at 160-4.

England’s chase was bolstered by half-centuries from opener Phil Salt (59) and Jacob Bethell (55), setting a strong foundation before Livingstone’s fireworks took over. "I'm enjoying my cricket, and if I'm enjoying my cricket, I usually play well," Livingstone said after the match. He credited his bowlers, who chipped away at wickets, though he admitted there was room for improvement in the field.

For the West Indies, captain Shai Hope anchored their innings with a well-crafted 117, his 17th ODI century, featuring eight fours and four sixes. Despite Hope’s efforts, he expressed disappointment, calling his century "irrelevant" as it didn't lead to a win. Keacy Carty (71) and Sherfane Rutherford (54 off 36 balls) added valuable runs, but a lack of discipline in bowling allowed England’s batters to capitalize.

West Indies pacer Matthew Forde impressed with figures of 3-48, though spinner Gudakesh Motie went wicketless and conceded 71 runs. After splitting the first two games, both teams head to Barbados for the series decider on Wednesday, followed by a five-match T20 series.
