Indian composer AR Rahman faced heavy criticism for the song 'Karar Oi Louh Kapat' from the movie 'Pippa,' composed by the national poet of Bangladesh Kazi Nazrul Islam. Adding to the controversy, renowned Bollywood director Ram Gopal Varma made explosive comments about Rahman's Oscar-winning song 'Jai Ho' from the movie 'Slumdog Millionaire.'

Released in 2008, 'Slumdog Millionaire' won multiple Oscars, including one for AR Rahman as the composer of the hit song 'Jai Ho.' However, in a recent interview with Film Campaigner, Ram Gopal Varma claimed that Rahman does not deserve the Oscar for 'Jai Ho' as the real composer of the song is Sukhwinder Singh.

Varma alleged that Rahman used the tune composed for Subhash Ghai's film 'Yuvraj' in 'Slumdog Millionaire.' He claimed that Rahman took money from Ghai for composing the music but later gave it to Sukhwinder Singh. According to Varma, Subhash Ghai was furious when he found out and refused to use the tune in 'Yuvraj.' Rahman then used it in 'Slumdog Millionaire' and won an Oscar.

Varma also mentioned the strained relationship between Rahman and Subhash Ghai, stating that Rahman composed music for 'Yuvraj' but faced issues with Ghai. Allegedly, Rahman went to Sukhwinder Singh's studio to compose the tune for 'Yuvraj' after returning from London, without Ghai's permission.

Subhash Ghai was reportedly upset when he found Singh composing the music instead of Rahman. He questioned Rahman's actions, accusing him of taking money from Ghai and giving it to someone else. As a result, Ghai did not use the composed song in 'Yuvraj,' which was later used in 'Slumdog Millionaire,' leading to Rahman's Oscar win.

The allegations made by Ram Gopal Varma have sparked controversy in the Indian film industry, shedding light on the behind-the-scenes conflicts and controversies surrounding Rahman's Oscar-winning song.
