Mongla, Aug 10 (V7N) — The authorities of the Rampal Thermal Power Plant have distributed educational materials among 321 students in Rajnagar area of Rampal in Bagerhat district.
The materials were handed over to students of Rajnagar Lower Secondary Girls’ School and Kalekharber Secondary School at the Rajnagar Union Parishad premises on Sunday afternoon.
Abhishek Kumar, project head of the Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company Ltd (BIFPCL), attended the programme as the chief guest.
Among others, BIFPCL Chief Human Resources Officer Anwarul Azim, Deputy General Manager G.M. Tariqul Islam and Assistant Superintendent of Police of Mongla Circle Md Refatul Islam were present at the event.
Speaking at the programme, Abhishek Kumar said the Rampal Thermal Power Plant had remained committed to supporting the local community and would continue to contribute to the overall development of the area.
He said the organisation had stood beside local people in the past and would continue its community-focused initiatives in the future.
