Cincinnati, August 6 (V7N) — Actress and producer Kelley Mack has died at the age of 33 following a battle with glioma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer affecting the central nervous system. She passed away on August 2, surrounded by her family, according to a statement shared on her official social media accounts.
Born Kelley Lynne Klebenow on July 10, 1992, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mack graduated from Chapman University with a degree in cinematography. She rose to prominence with her portrayal of Addy in Season 9 of The Walking Dead and later appeared in popular television shows such as Chicago Med and 9‑1‑1. Her film credits include Broadcast Signal Intrusion and Delicate Arch.
Mack’s sister Kathryn paid tribute to her in an Instagram post, describing her as “a bright, fervent light” who passed away peacefully in the presence of their mother Kristen and aunt Karen. She added that Kelley’s presence continues to be felt “in the form of various butterflies,” and that she “will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express.”
Diagnosed with diffuse midline glioma in late 2024, Mack had publicly shared updates about her treatment journey, revealing that complications had affected her mobility and forced her to use a walker and wheelchair. Despite these challenges, she remained active online, engaging with her fans.
Beyond acting, Mack’s career included voice-over roles, commercials, and short films. Notably, she served as a voice match for Gwen Stacy in Spider‑Man: Into the Spider‑Verse and earned recognition for her work in the award-winning short film The Elephant Garden, produced at Tisch School of the Arts.
She is survived by her parents, Kristen and Lindsay, siblings Kathryn and actor Parker Mack, her grandparents, and her partner Logan Lanier. A memorial celebration is scheduled for August 16 in Ohio, with another event planned in Los Angeles for friends and colleagues from the film industry.
Kelley Mack leaves behind a legacy marked by creativity, resilience, and a deep dedication to storytelling through film, television, and voice performance.
