Teknaf, Aug 05 (V7N) — Hnila Al-Falah Academy in Teknaf observed July Mass Uprising Day with due respect and solemnity on Wednesday, holding a discussion meeting and prayer session to honour those who lost their lives during the movement.
The programme was held on the school campus and began with a recitation from the Holy Quran.
The event was chaired by Head Teacher Nurul Hossain Siddiqui, while Assistant Teacher Sayem Sikder moderated the programme.
Participants paid tribute to those who were killed during the July Mass Uprising and offered prayers for the speedy recovery of those who were injured.
In his address, Head Teacher Nurul Hossain Siddiqui said the movement would remain a significant chapter in the country's history, describing it as a symbol of the younger generation's stand against injustice and their aspirations for a better future.
"The sacrifices made by those who lost their lives will continue to inspire future generations with the values of patriotism and justice," he said.
Assistant teachers Riaz Mahmud, Murad Hossain, Robiul Hasan, Farid Alam and Rahim Ullah also addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of remembering the sacrifices made during the movement and encouraging students to uphold national values.
The programme concluded with a special prayer seeking peace for those who died and well-being for the nation.
