RANGAMATI, May 25, (V7N)– Leaders and activists of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal have set a remarkable humanitarian example by volunteering to harvest rice for a poor farmer in Mollapara, Rangamati Sadar upazila, who was unable to afford labor costs.
Despite the scorching sun, Chhatra Dal members, led by District President Md. Oli Ahad and General Secretary Naimul Islam Rony, went to the farmer’s field, cut the ripe paddy, tied it, and delivered it to his home. Local sources said the farmer had been deeply worried about losing his crop to rain, as he lacked the money to hire workers.
The farmer expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying he had been living in fear of losing his harvest but was relieved when Chhatra Dal activists stepped in.
Chhatra Dal leaders explained that their organization is not limited to political activities, but also has a moral responsibility to stand by ordinary people in times of hardship. They pledged to continue such humanitarian initiatives in the future.
This voluntary act has drawn widespread praise from locals, who described it as a shining example of humanitarian service that brought smiles to farmers’ homes and strengthened community solidarity.
