Dhaka, Sep 02 (V7N)- Temporary gusty or squally winds reaching 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may sweep across six regions of Bangladesh, accompanied by rain or thundershowers, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast.
The warning was issued for the country's inland river ports from 5 am to 1 pm on Wednesday (September 2).
According to the forecast, winds from the south or southeast may reach speeds of 45–60 km/h over Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Chittagong and Cox's Bazar. Rain or thundershowers are also likely in these areas during the period.
In view of the forecast, river ports in the affected areas have been advised to display warning signal No. 1.
