Dhaka, Aug 30 (V7N)- Gusty winds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may sweep across 17 districts of the country, including Dhaka, by Sunday morning. Rain or thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds are also likely, the Meteorological Department has warned.
The information was disclosed in a warning issued for the country's inland river ports on Saturday (August 30) night.
According to the warning, temporary gusty or squally winds at speeds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may blow from the south or southeast over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Kushtia, Dhaka, Faridpur, Tangail, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet regions.
In view of the possibility of adverse weather, river ports in these areas have been advised to display warning signal number 1.
The warning will remain in effect from 8:30 pm on Saturday until 9 am on Sunday (August 31).
