Shizuoka, Nov 18 (V7N) – A NASCAR exhibition was held at Fuji Speedway in Shizuoka Prefecture, highlighting an exchange of auto culture between Japan and the United States and drawing enthusiasts of high-performance motorsports.

The event was organized by the Automobile Business & Culture Association of Japan, an umbrella organization representing automotive companies and industry groups. It featured six race cars from Toyota Motor Corp., alongside U.S. automakers Ford Motor Co. and Chevrolet, all of which participate in NASCAR competitions.

Prominent drivers from both Japan and the United States took part in demonstration runs, driving laps around the iconic circuit to showcase the performance and speed of the vehicles.

Before the exhibition runs, Akio Toyoda, chairman of Toyota Motor Corp. and head of the organizing association, addressed the crowd, encouraging attendees to experience the full intensity of the cars firsthand. “I want you to feel the sound and the raw power,” he said, emphasizing the excitement and cross-cultural significance of the event.

The exhibition highlighted not only automotive engineering and racing technology but also the cultural exchange between Japan and the United States, bringing fans of motorsports closer to NASCAR’s high-octane world and reinforcing ties between global auto communities.
