Tehran, May 06 (V7N) — Iran has denied allegations that it carried out missile and drone attacks on the United Arab Emirates, amid rising tensions in the region.
According to a report by The Jerusalem Post, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it had not conducted any operation targeting the UAE. It further claimed that if such an attack had been carried out, Tehran would have publicly acknowledged it.
At the same time, Iran accused the UAE of “cooperating with the enemy,” warning that such actions could have “dangerous consequences” in the future.
However, a separate report by Al Jazeera cited sources linked to the Iranian military as saying the attacks did not originate from Iranian territory and that Tehran had no plans to target the UAE. Iranian sources also emphasized that the country is focused on safeguarding its national security and regional stability.
Earlier, at least three people were reported injured in an attack on May 4, while a drone strike caused a fire at a key oil facility in Fujairah. Details of the damage from subsequent incidents remain unclear.
Meanwhile, Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack, stating that such actions during a ceasefire are unacceptable and warning that continued incidents could jeopardize the truce.
Several world leaders have also condemned the attack, while the UAE expressed gratitude for the international support it received following the incident.
