Riyadh, Feb 07 (V7N)- Saudi Arabia will begin issuing visas for the 2026 (1447 AH) Hajj season from Sunday, February 8, according to a report by Gulf News published on Saturday.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said the decision is part of a comprehensive work plan prepared for Hajj offices aimed at enhancing the overall quality of Hajj preparations and pilgrim services.
Preparations for the 2026 Hajj officially began on June 8 last year, when initial planning documents were shared with Hajj affairs offices across different countries. Subsequently, detailed information regarding tent arrangements at the holy sites was made available directly through the ‘Nusuk Masar’ digital platform, enabling better planning and coordination by the offices.
According to the official preparation schedule, contracts for accommodation and other essential services are scheduled to begin from 1 Rabi’ul Awwal 1447 AH, which corresponds to late August 2025.
Saudi authorities said the early start to the visa and planning process reflects their commitment to ensuring smooth management, improved services, and better facilities for pilgrims during the upcoming Hajj season.
