Balochistan, Jan 30 (V7N) — At least 41 armed militants have been killed in two major military operations in Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani military, confirmed. The operations were conducted on Thursday (January 29) based on intelligence inputs, according to reports from Dawn.
The ISPR statement said the militants were linked to Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan. Members of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) are officially referred to as Fitna-al-Khawarij in Pakistan, while Fitna-al-Hindustan denotes Balochistan-based armed groups, highlighting alleged Indian involvement in terrorism.
A large quantity of arms, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the militants during the operations.
The ISPR added that under the National Action Plan, counter-terrorism operations by Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies, under the ‘Azam-e-Istehkam’ approved by the Federal Apex Committee, will continue at full pace to eliminate the threat of foreign-sponsored terrorism in the country.
