Tangail, July 13 (V7N) — The 19th Infantry Division of the Bangladesh Army organized a day-long free medical camp on Saturday in Kalihati, Tangail, providing essential healthcare services to over 1,500 local residents.
 
The camp was held on the premises of the Tangail Textile Engineering College and was supervised by the 98 Composite Brigade under the 19th Infantry Division. The program was executed by the 15 Field Ambulance unit in collaboration with the 24 East Bengal Regiment.
 
A team of ten military medical specialists provided consultations in various disciplines, including general medicine, gynecology, surgery, pediatrics, and ophthalmology. Alongside medical consultations, patients were given free medicines, and 150 individuals received complimentary eyeglasses.
 
Brigadier General Md. Mahmudur Rahman, AFWC, PSC, Commander of the 98 Composite Brigade, was present during the event. He reiterated the Bangladesh Army’s enduring commitment to public welfare, stating that the military will continue to stand beside the people as it has in the past.
 
This initiative is part of a broader humanitarian outreach program by the Bangladesh Army, aiming to bring essential healthcare services to underserved and rural populations across the country.
