Tel Aviv, June 16 (V7N) – Iran has launched a fresh round of missile attacks on multiple locations across Israel over the past several hours, leaving more than 10 people injured, according to initial reports.

A BBC report confirmed that the missiles were fired directly from Iranian territory, targeting several major cities including Haifa, Tel Aviv, and Jerusalem. Residents in these areas reported hearing loud explosions and experiencing shockwaves, prompting panic and emergency responses.

Emergency services have been deployed to the affected areas, and medical teams are treating the wounded. Authorities have not yet confirmed whether there were any fatalities.

This latest escalation comes amid already heightened tensions between the two countries, following weeks of mutual threats, drone strikes, and retaliatory measures. Israeli defense systems intercepted several incoming missiles, though some are reported to have landed in civilian zones, causing injuries and property damage.

Israeli security officials are currently assessing the extent of the damage, while military units remain on high alert. Public shelters in major cities have been reopened as a precautionary measure, and residents have been urged to remain vigilant.

No official statement has yet been released by the Israeli government regarding potential retaliation.
