London, June 12 (V7N) — Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to Bangladesh's interim government, is set to receive the prestigious 'King Charles Harmony Award-2025' for his outstanding contribution to establishing peace, stability, and harmony. The award ceremony will take place at St. James's Palace in London on Thursday (June 12).

As part of his ongoing visit to the United Kingdom, Dr. Yunus is also scheduled to meet BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on Friday (June 13). According to Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam, the meeting does not have a set agenda, but discussions are expected to cover key national issues, including the current political situation in Bangladesh, the upcoming election, electoral reforms, and the proposed July Charter.

On the second day of his visit, Wednesday (June 11), Dr. Yunus attended a special dinner hosted by King Charles III at St. James's Palace, marking the 35th anniversary of the King's Foundation.

Earlier during a policy dialogue organized by Chatham House, Dr. Yunus reaffirmed his government's commitment to holding a fair, transparent, and historic election after 17 years, ensuring a peaceful transition of power to an elected government.
