Riyadh, Sep 28 (V7N)- Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. has attracted attention on social media after a video emerged showing the 16-year-old speaking Arabic with a teammate from Al Nassr’s youth team.
The video, recorded on Saturday, shows Ronaldo Jr. chatting with a fellow youth player in Arabic, with the footage quickly gaining traction among football fans online.
In the video, Ronaldo Jr. can be heard saying, “Assalamu Alaikum, kaif al hal?” meaning “Peace be upon you, how are you?” He also uses some English during the conversation.
His use of Arabic has drawn interest partly because he has been living in Saudi Arabia since his father, Cristiano Ronaldo, joined Al Nassr in December 2022.
Alongside his life in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo Jr. has continued his football development with Al Nassr’s youth setup and has recently been making headlines for his performances on the pitch.
He recently scored twice for Al Nassr’s Under-17 side against Al Ahli in the Saudi U-17 Premier League. Al Nassr came from behind to win the match 2-1, with Ronaldo Jr. scoring in the 12th and 44th minutes.

Ronaldo Jr. has also represented Portugal at youth level. He received his first call-up in May 2025 for the country’s Under-15 team and has since continued playing for Portugal’s youth sides.
Before moving to Saudi Arabia, he spent time in the youth system at Manchester United, where his father also played.
While much of the attention surrounding Ronaldo Jr. remains focused on his football development, his growing familiarity with Arabic highlights another aspect of his life in Saudi Arabia.
