Rajshahi, Aug 07 (V7N) — Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Administrator Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Riton has called for a collective effort to transform Rajshahi into a cleaner, greener, safer and more liveable city while ensuring the timely completion of ongoing development projects.

He made the remarks at a progress review meeting on Thursday evening at the Sarit Dattagupta Conference Hall of Nagar Bhaban, where officials reviewed the implementation of ongoing development projects under the Engineering Department of Rajshahi City Corporation.

Addressing the meeting as chief guest, the administrator instructed engineers, contractors and other officials to maintain construction quality and complete all projects within the stipulated timeframe.

Riton said he had been entrusted by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman with the responsibility of improving civic services and enhancing the city's overall development. He added that the city administration is working to implement the government's directives and build a more beautiful, clean, green, healthy and secure Rajshahi through coordinated efforts.

The meeting was chaired by RCC Chief Executive Officer Md. Rezaul Karim.

Among those present were Superintending Engineer Khairul Baker, Acting Superintending Engineer Ahmad Al Main Parag, Chief Conservancy Officer Sheikh Md. Mamun, Budget and Accounts Officer Md. Shafiqul Islam Khan, Executive Engineer (Development) Md. Mahmudur Rahman, Executive Engineer Nilufa Yasmin, Executive Engineer (Electrical) ABM Asaduzzaman Sweet, Assistant Engineer Md. Shaheduzzaman Jibon, Accounts Officer Nizamul Hoda, Accounts Officer Md. Shahidul Haque, and representatives of various contracting firms.

The meeting reviewed the progress of ongoing development projects, implementation status, quality assurance measures, and strategies for completing the works within the scheduled timeframe.
