Jhalokathi, Sept 24 (V7N) – Police in Jhalokathi recovered the hanging body of a 30-year-old sales representative, Palash Sutradhar, from a rented apartment in the town’s College Mor area late Tuesday night. A handwritten note was found at the scene, in which he described his struggles with a difficult life, personal failures, and the pain that drove him to end his life.
Palash, son of Sudhir Sutradhar of Terchar village in Muladi upazila of Barishal, had been working in Jhalokathi as a sales representative for the Fresh brand tissue products of Meghna Group of Industries. Only three months ago, he married the daughter of Dipak Sutradhar from Nabagram union under Jhalokathi Sadar upazila.
According to local witnesses, residents discovered Palash hanging from a ceiling fan with a scarf inside his rented residence and immediately informed the police. Officers from Jhalokathi Sadar police station rushed to the scene and recovered the body.
The note recovered at the scene reportedly read: “This life is too difficult. I could not bear the pain of my failures. Please forgive me, Mehedi Bhai, MK Traders.”
Confirming the incident, Jhalokathi Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Moniruzzaman said, “We initially believe it to be a case of suicide. A note was recovered from the spot. The exact cause of death will be confirmed after the autopsy report.”
The incident has cast a pall of grief over the area, leaving family, colleagues, and the local community in shock.
