Of the total vehicles, 43,003 were northbound, contributing Tk 2.42 crore in tolls, while 21,280 vehicles traveled towards Dhaka, generating Tk 1.68 crore.

Notably, 12,434 more vehicles used the bridge on Thursday compared to the previous day, with traffic averaging 44 vehicles per minute.

In the last four days, a staggering 1,79,863 vehicles crossed the bridge, and the total toll collected stood at Tk 13.32 crore, according to the Jamuna Bridge authority.

Prabir Kumar Ghosh, Manager of Toll Operations, stated that toll collection was briefly suspended multiple times due to traffic congestion and occasional vehicle breakdowns. To manage the rush, nine toll booths are currently operational on both ends of the bridge, including two dedicated booths for motorcycles.
